The Quiet Design of Everything

don’t think anything happens by accident.
But I also don’t think it happens the way we think it does.
There is a quiet design in everything
not loud, not visible
just slowly revealed after things pass
People enter your life
not always to stay
but to shift something inside you
you didn’t know needed shifting
They don’t arrive as answers
They arrive as experiences you cannot name at first
And later when they leave
you don’t lose them completely
You lose the version of yourself
that existed before them
I used to think endings were failures
Now I think they are completions
you only understand too late
Even what hurts
does not exist without meaning It just hides it in the beginning
Time doesn’t explain anything
It only reveals what you missed while it was happening
And maybe that is the point
nothing is meant to be understood instantly
Everything is slow understanding
So I don’t ask for meaning immediately anymore
I just wait for it to reveal itself
in how things end
Because in the end nothing is random
It is only unreadable
while we are still inside it
